Row80 Check In 9000 and Counting

I know I’ve been fail checking in the last few weeks. Truthfully, I hate just posting about the word count, but I haven’t wanted to take the time to add something useful to my posts.

But I had to post today, because I’ve kicked it into high gear on the WIP. As of yesterday, I was at 9K for the week. I’m nearing the second plot point and writing scenes I’ve really been looking forward to, so it’s exciting. Plus, my June 15 deadline is rapidly approaching.

My goal for the rest of the week is at least another 8K. My best friend is visiting Friday-Monday, so the weekend will be a wash, but I’m confident I’ll have a productive rest of the week.

How’s your week going? Are you still loving Row80?

Here are some of my favorite links of the past couple of weeks:)

The Importance of Editing by Elizabeth Spann Craig.

The WANA Plan to Save Bookstores & Revive Publishing by Kristen Lamb.

Aggressive versus Obnoxious in the Land of Publishing by Bob Mayer.

Story Structure – The Climax (I recommend her whole series on structure) K.M. Weiland.

Self-Publishing is NOT the Easy Way. There is no Easy Way by Mhairi Simpson.

Glad to see you back. IMHO, don’t be afraid to do short posts. For folks who are trying to keep up with as many ROWers as possible, it makes it an easy stop.

Sounds like you’re making good progress! I’m slacking a bit right now, but I’m ready to kick it into high gear myself, I think.

    • Stacy Green says:

Thanks so much. I do need to check in more, because Row80 has been a huge boost for me. Yes, I’m making good progress, finally. Really hoping to hammer out the draft by the end of the month.

Woot! Woot! 9k is fabulous. You’re flying in that WIP now. Good for you, Stacy. Best wishes for getting that 8k in.

    • Stacy Green says:

Thank you. I actually got it in today, lol. I’m at 13,800 for the week. Hopefully can add to it tomorrow.

      • Julie Glover says:

Good for you!!! After my 25k week, I know it can be done. (And I can also probably picture what your house looks like. LOL.)

      • Stacy Green says:

LOL. Shhh. It’s not too bad. I’m able to get a lot done before Grace gets home, and then rush to do the basics before hubby gets home. We won’t discuss the laundry room. Or our master bath…

  3. Good job, Stacy! Sometimes, things just work, don’t they?

Hey, I saw that you already got it, but I mentioned you in my Liebster award post today. Just wanted to let you know! 🙂
